Spring mattresses are held together by a system of wire, and even the most "independent coil" innerspring mattresses show more tendency to sag than HR foam. To achieve adequate support, springs must be moderately stiff. And then to be comfortable, the steel must be insulated by padding. This padding won't stretch much; when a body compresses the coils, the padding pulls down adjoining coils, creating a valley. Many better innerspring mattresses are made with a foam "topper" instead of padding, but then the foam must be supported underneath and covered on top. So the sagging effect can be only partially solved. A lighter person on the other side of the mattress still begins to "roll into the valley".
In HR foam, each tiny cell acts as a spring. And, because the cells are so resilient and so strong, the "valley" effect is limited to only a few inches.

HR foam breathes quietly. Since about 95% of its cells are open, air is squeezed in and out by body movement, much as you can squeeze water in and out of a sponge. There is no metal to squeak, so breathing action is completely silent. HR foam insulates all year round. Since urethane foams typically are high-efficiency insulators, an HR foam mattress can maintain warmth in the winter or coolness in the summer. One simply adds or removes bedding for complete comfort. HR foam is non-allergenic. It is both dust and mildew resistant, greatly reducing the potential problems faced by those with allergies. In fact, it's such an inert material that only a few chemical solvents will affect it at all.

One of the best properties of HR urethane is its long-term strength and memory. In extensive "torture" testing,HR foam showed no signs of hardening or softening or losing its shape. In normal bedroom conditions, it will give you many years of comfort.

In addition to its measurable comfort and other performance properties, HR foam can be washed, dry cleaned, steamed, and sterilized. It's odor-resistant, non-allergenic, bacteriostatic, and resistant to mildew, fungi, vermin and insects. It also meets California Department of Furnishings Bulletin #117 combustibility guidelines.

HR foam is manufactured WITHOUT CHLOROFLUOROCARBONS or FORMALDEHYDE. It meets the "ozone-friendly" definition established by the Federal Trade Commision. And it is recommended by the Green Consumer Guide as an environmentally sound bedding alternative that provides superior, long-lasting support and uncompromising comfort. A mattress of such quality and durability gives years of service.

Green Statement
Creators mattress and cushion foams are flexible polyether polyurethanes, a resilient hydrocarbon plastic. Creators polyether polyurethanes are manufactured completely without chlorofluorocarbons using a patented process that uses water as its only rising agent and gives off only water vapor as a by product. Further, it is made in an enclosed system that captures all gases given off during manufacturing. This process is waste free and is an extremely environmentally friendly process. These foams contain no P.B.D.E.s.
The listed foams are very recycleable. All trimmings and falloff from the cutting process are collected, shredded, and made into carpet underlay. Further, when these foams useful life as a finished product is done, they can be recycled to be cleaned, shredded, and processed into rebond or carpet underlay.
